ABOUT CARLOS
Carlos Diaz is an award-nominated, bilingual voice actor, director, writer, and acting coach with over 30 years of experience across voiceover, animation, commercials, film, radio, television, video games, and theatre. Based in Toronto, Ontario, he is a proud member of ACTRA and SAG-AFTRA.
His credits include three Gemini Award nominations for Best Ensemble, an ACTRA nomination for Outstanding Performance – Voice in Justin Time, the first-ever Rolling Rock Best Actor Award, and a nomination as one of the 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians in 2010 for his humanitarian work with Habitat for Humanity Chile.
In the studio, Carlos casts, directs, and translates English/Spanish projects, bringing sharp comedic instincts, a remarkable vocal range, and the ability to move fluidly between high-energy cartoon characters and nuanced, grounded performances.
Beyond his own work, Carlos coaches privately helping voice actors refine their craft, tackle challenging auditions, and step into their strengths. Outside the booth, he writes, trains in martial arts, supports his daughter's acting career, and serves as an active Board Director with local community theatre company IT Productions.
